Incumbents in this position monitor airport operations for compliance with FAA rules and Airport Authority policies and regulations to ensure safety and efficient operations. Duties include performing Airfield Operations Specialist duties and coordinating and leading Airfield Operations Specialists. Work involves shift, weekend and holiday assignments; therefore, candidates must be available for overtime, mandatory 24 hour emergency response as needed and shift work.

Requires: A bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Administration or a related field; plus one year of full-time paid experience monitoring airport operations for compliance with FAA rules and airport policies and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations OR an eqivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be familiar with airport operations, communications systems, safety procedures and FAA regulations.
Additional Salary Information: A commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly is paid to City employees of St. Louis Lambert International Airport after taking residence in the City of St. Louis.
