The NH DOT, Bureau of Aeronautics has a vacancy for a Principal Planner (Aviation Planner) Job ID 10479.
To perform planning functions needed to develop, maintain and keep current Airport Master Plans and State Systems Plans. Collects, compiles and analyzes economic and aviation data necessary to prepare reports and makes recommendations regarding airport development and upgrades based upon forecast demands. Conducts on-site investigation of aircraft accident/incidents and performs airport safety inspections.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with study related to planning, civil or aeronautical engineering, community development, law, business administration, or aerospace and aviation studies and five years professional experience in planning, engineering or experience in a related field as specified above. Applicant may substitute commercial pilot certification for one year of total experience required.
Applicant must possess a Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot’s License. Commercial Pilot License is preferred but not required. Masters Degree is preferred.
