Create short term and long range Master Plans and Studies for the Airport. Coordinate with internal divisions of the Airport to document and create long term facilities goals, needs and future expansion options. Coordinate with the Capital Planning Office, Transportation Office and Real Estate Offices on land planning. Coordinate with external agencies like the FAA, TSA, TXDOT, Capital Metro to integrate and review concepts, designs and plans. Help to prepare grant documentation and applications. Conduct field verifications of existing facilities. Work with Capital Planning Program Manager to plan and budget new projects. Work with consultants to perform studies and analyses of the Airport. Integrate GIS into the Airports planning and maintenance system.
Responsibilities: Develops and administers the Airport Master Plan to include collaborating with management with system planning and capacity enhancement programs for sustaining and improving the airport’s infrastructure and facilities.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Airport Planning, or a directly related field, plus two (2) years of professional experience in airport planning/operations. Experience in aviation planning or related work may substitute for the education up to the maximum of four (4) years.
