Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (CAS) is searching for a Vice President of Business Development who will be responsible for the coordination and execution of CAS business development and marketing activities. This individual will develop and execute strategies and tactics to generate profitable diversification and new business revenue growth, while assisting CAS management with executive level tasks as needed.
Through established contacts and new contacts, generate new business for CAS in aviation related security markets.
Promote CAS in our airport security efforts (including employee screening), cargo screening, and SPP.
Define and profile US airports’ security approach and, where there are airports utilizing private security, develop and execute capture strategy.
Liaison with the Leaders of AAAE and ACI-NA to insure that CAS has a prominent leadership role within the Aviation Industry Associations.
Actively participate in AAAE and ACI-NA security committees.
Be knowledgeable and conversant with all 49 CFR 1540 requirements.
Obtain current commercial contracts and perform requirements analysis.
Obtain current incumbent proposals (when possible) and perform Strengths/Weakness analyses.
Develop five year “pipeline” of upcoming business opportunities.
Develop key strategies for each potential business opportunity.
Recommend go/no-go for each potential business opportunity.
Assist in developing, and continue to maintain, positive professional relationships with current and prospective government and commercial aviation clients.
Coordinate marketing activities for CAS including tradeshows, business development functions, communication materials, association involvement, and market research and partnership opportunities.
Develop and execute plan to market Covenant Aviation Security to insure that CAS is a well-known leader in aviation related security.
Propose other business opportunities that would capitalize on Covenant’s core competencies.
Perform competitive analysis of all CAS competitors and perform SWOT analyses when CAS competes against an incumbent.
Work with the CAS President and management team to develop and deliver sales presentations and Oral presentations in a professional and effective manner.
Assist with all stages of bid and proposal development, as required.
Assist with all stages of contract transition, as required.
Oversee and monitor outside consultants who are contracted for the purpose of business development as directed.
As business growth occurs, build/add talent to the CAS Marketing/Business Development team, as necessary. Manage Business development team to achieve desired results.
Research and provide input and technical assistance on various marketing related activities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, or related discipline, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of related experience with Masters degree.
3-5 years management experience.
Must be AAAE ACE certified or must become certified within 90 days.
Knowledge of aviation and government contracts.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite of software).
Knowledge of spreadsheet and data base applications.
Effectively communicates (oral and written) with internal/external contacts while protecting highly confidential info.
Proactively researches most current information available and summarizes with plans and actions.
High level of enthusiasm, initiative and drive.
Is proactive; presents innovative ideas and solutions to problems.
Is open to, and accepts, change.
Has the ability to assist multiple members of the CAS and CSW management team simultaneously.
