The Jones Payne Group, a recognized leader in providing professional services to airport-sponsored noise mitigation programs nationwide, is looking for a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to oversee architectural and engineering services for a large-scale airport-sponsored residential sound insulation program .
Key duties and responsibilities: •Communication and coordination with client in conjunction with the timely delivery of contracted services. •Fosters and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with all members of the project team. •Manages and coordinates JPG staff and sub-consultant team members with the timely delivery of contracted services. •Responsible for overall project management – including status reporting; project scheduling; staff resourcing; budgeting, project workflow; development of scope of work, fee proposals and execution of task orders, etc. •Fulfill role of “face of the JPG QHP Team” when attending conferences and/or San Diego Airport-sponsored events relevant to the Quieter Home Program.
10+ years’ experience overseeing the delivery of architectural design and engineering services preferably on federally-funded public sector projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Registration/License desired, but not required.Proven capability in managing project teams consisting of administrative and technical staff, both in and out of the San Diego area.
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and collaborative skills.
Ability to lead a project team and to clearly articulate tactical and strategic means and methods to accomplish project goals.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and installation details.
Strong interpersonal skills as needed to motivate team members, and resolve challenges and conflicts, as necessary.
Ability to address critical issues with tact, clear objective and in a timely fashion.
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and in the use of project management and workflow software tools.
Position will involve assisting the client in representation of the San Diego project both locally and possibly at industry conferences.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
