Provides support to the San Antonio International Airport - Security Division by ensuring that the airport remains in compliance with all security requirements regulated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), all Security Directives, the Airport Security Program, and Airport Rules and Regulations. Provides guidance to airport tenants and users regarding security issues. Conducts security inspections of airport property to assess compliance of minimum standards pursuance to local, state, and federal regulations. •Performs regular security inspections of tenant facilities, terminals, and airport grounds to ensure compliance. Files/maintains the monthly documentation of compliance inspections. •Reviews all security-related functions. •Conducts multiple security assessments, audits, and security tests. •Assists with processing security violations. •Responds to requests for information from TSA, federal/local law enforcement agencies and airport stakeholders. •Maintains/updates the Airport Security Program or other security related documents. •Coordinates, conducts and participates in security outreach training programs. •Attends construction and other airport sponsored/tenant meetings.
•Two (2) years of experience in aviation security coordination, including anti-terrorism procedures and protection of airport assets.•Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.•Must pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandated background checks (Criminal History Records Check and Security Threat Assessment).•Maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport. •Must be able to obtain an Airport Security Coordinator's certificate (from Safety & Security Instruction) within one (1) year of hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:•Airport Security/Operations, Military, or Law Enforcement experience.•Knowledgeable with CFR 1520, 1540, 1542 and 1544 Regulations and Security Directives. Prior Airport Compliance Experience.
Applicants may subsitution work experience for education requirements. The substitution ratio is 2 years of required experience for 1 year of higher education.
