Duties & Responsibilities 1. Manage and administer airport operations. 2. Develop long-range and annual business plan for Airport. 3. Oversee and participate in negotiation of leases. Administers leases. 4. Administer FAA or other grants for airport rehabilitation and capital improvement projects. 5. Update knowledge of airport management practices and policies, FAA regulations, etc. on an ongoing basis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Airport Management, Public Administration or Business Management, or related field, five (5) years of experience in airport management/operations that include three (3) or more years of experience in an upper-level management position at a relatively busy general aviation airport, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with pilots, knowledge of aircraft, knowledge of airport safety procedures and airport maintenance. Business and financial/budget management experience. Strong communications (verbal, listening, writing and presenting) and interpersonal skills. Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and proven ability to develop effective working relationships with wide range of groups and individuals. Ability to collaborate and to partner when appropriate. Ability to manage issues well independently. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make difficult decisions related to contested issues. Basic computer skills and ability to utilize City-wide systems (email, calendaring, etc.) Valid Colorado driver's license. Ability to have an maintain acceptable background information, including criminal historyand motor vehicle record.
Previous experience in City government. Experience as a pilot; knowledge of and experience with the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). Experience with facilities planning and management, project management, crisis/emergency management, PR/community outreach, grant writing and management, commercial leasing, negotiating and enforcing legal agreements/regulations, noise abatement, conflict resolution, customer service, team-building, and developing and improving business systems and processes. A.A.E. (Accredited Airport Executive) or A.A.E. candidate preferred.
