Manages the Joint Operations Center (JOC) at Charlotte Douglas International Airport to promote situational awareness and facilitate collaborative decision making among all airport stakeholders and multiple agencies and jurisdictions. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Airport Operations Center which provides communication, coordination, and dispatch functions for all airport operations including 9-1-1 emergency (police, fire, medic), security, airside, terminal, landside, ground transportation, customer service, bus dispatch, gate management, and facility maintenance. Activates the Airport Emergency Operations Center and coordinates with the Emergency Operations Manager plans, monitors, and guides the coordination of the joint response; coordinates with tenants of the JOC.Oversees the JOC building needs, access, and functionality.Facilitates and/or participates in any projects for the development of the JOC. Supervises and directs the work of the Airport Operations Center Supervisors and Coordinators.Oversees the development of staff to support their overall engagement, growth, and goal achievement.

Associates degree plus seven years of experience or bachelors degree and five years of experience. Experience required in airport or airline operations., emergency management, supervisory experience, and public safety telecommunications. Education should be in the fields of emergency management, aviation, transportation or business administration. AAAE - CM, A.C.E. - Operations or A.A.E. preferred
