The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will initially partner with a current AERO Project Manager and receive support from Vice Presidents to learn our operations. The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible to manage projects from start to finish, and will be responsible for safety, quality, schedule and financial success of each project. This position is a supervisory role, and will be responsible for managing project crews with support from on-site Superintendents. The SPM will represent the company with Clients, Contractors, Engineers, and Manufacturers and will support the pursuit of new work. Based on the candidate’s location, this position provides opportunities to work in a specific region or throughout the Country. Candidate location is flexible.
QUALIFICATIONS •Degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Architecture or related field •10+ years of experience •Contracting and Aviation Construction experience •Passenger Boarding Bridge experience preferred •Self-motivated and willing to tackle challenges head-on •Excellent oral and written communication •Understands importance of meeting deadlines with quality work products •Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project •Positive work attitude and a team player
RESPONSIBILITIES •Manage construction projects from start to finish •Responsible for project performance and Contract administration •Prepare and manage Sub-Contractor and Vendor Agreement contracts •Develop, track and update construction schedules using CPM method •Serve as primary Point of Contact with Clients •Help prepare project bid and change order estimates •Help prepare documents for project bids and proposals •Prioritize responsibilities and coordinate your own schedule
