As part of the Corporate Real Estate, Planning and Development team, the Managing Director – Regional Portfolio and Program Management will oversee a total team of between 20 and 40 individuals through 5 direct reports. They will be responsible for managing the resources (staff, budget, tools) of the development and execution of large portfolio ($1-4B) of projects and large programs ($1-3B) from strategic planning through envision, design, build and activate of airport facility modification projects to make certain they are completed on time, on budget, in compliance with operational needs, corporate guidelines, jurisdictional codes, airport lease requirements, and other agreements, obligations and regulations to which United is bound. This person will collaborate with the Executive and Senior Leadership of United to ensure the company’s long and short-term capital plans are developed and executable, as well as flexible and agile to the company’s strategic vision.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, with a preference of a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Aviation Management and Planning. Master’s Degree is a plus
3-5 years’ experience in aviation planning, design and construction project management. Experience managing a team of managers and leaders (in supervisory roles). 10+ years’ experience is preferred
Experience in managing a portfolio of projects and development of multi-million/billion-dollar construction programs
Has led effective teams and uses technical knowledge experience combined with business acumen to provide thoughtful decision making and guidance in strategic implementation of United’s objectives and initiatives
Solution oriented and committed to a creating and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
