The Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority is seeking qualified candidates for the position of ARFF/Operations Supervisor. This position, under general supervision, provides supervisory work direction to Airport ARFF/Operations Specialists who perform Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF), Emergency Medical Response, FAA Part 139 duties associated with airport operations, and airport security. In addition, the ARFF/Operations Supervisor oversees mandatory fire, medical, and operations training and ensures compliance with applicable FAA, TSA, and local rules and regulations. The position also performs specific administrative duties and assists with skilled tasks related to airfield, facilities, and grounds management.
Preferred minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent GED Certificate and two-year degree, and/or bachelor’s degree, or combination of education and experience. Five years of Airport experience including knowledge of principles/practices of aircraft firefighting (Certified Firefighter 1 or 2), rescue and emergency medical response (EMR Certification), knowledge of federal aviation regulations, skill in operating specialized firefighting equipment, ability to work in stressful conditions, and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Two-years of experience as a supervisor is desired. Employment with the Airport Authority is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment fitness assessment, a fingerprint-based criminal history record check, and a TSA security threat assessment.
