Responsible for the overall management of the Airport’s FAR part 139 Airport Certification Program and the 49 CFR part 1542 Security Program. This position shall supervise, oversee and administer all of the required functions of the Airport Certification Manual and the Airport Security Program in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration regulations. Must maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License. Must pass a ten (10) year fingerprint based Criminal History Background check and Security Threat Assessment (STA) for SIDA badge. Must pass a FAA approved drivers training course for Movement Area Operator certification. Veterans preference available, EOE
Bachelor’s Degree required in Aviation/Airport Management or related field. Three (3) years minimum of FAR 139 and 49 CFR 1542 airport operational experience working for an air carrier airport or equivalent experience.
Ten (10) years of part 139 operations commercial airport experience and Five (5) years of supervisory or management experience can substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree.
