The Facilities Technician reports directly to the Terminal Director and is responsible for maximizing the customer service by ensuring a clean, well maintained, safe and pleasant environment. Oversees preventative maintenance of equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems, safety compliance, and facilities. Participates in the development of service requisitions, reviews proposals and evaluates vendor qualifications, negotiates and administers contracts. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the efficiency and effectiveness of services to customers by acting on suggestions and participate as an active member of the management team.
a. Principles, practices, techniques, and equipment utilized in the maintenance of large, heavily trafficked airports or commercial buildings
b.Practices and techniques involved in implementing a program of building maintenance and repair
c. The operations and maintenance of major air conditioning, plumbing, heating, mechanical and electrical systems
d. The occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in facility maintenance
e. Preventative maintenance programs required for large buildings, grounds, pavements and varied types of maintenance equipment used in such work
f. Must remain on call or on duty in the event of any airport and or terminal emergency
g. Must be able to complete and pass a background check and drug screening as required by the Federal Government and aviation-related authorities.
