Job Summary: Reporting to the Airport Planning Manager, responsible for researching, interpreting, and tracking division compliance with Federal, State, and local obligations of Milwaukee County as an airport operator. Conducts airport planning research and analysis. Supervises and coordinates various airport projects including Milwaukee County’s Airport Noise Management Program.

Conducts research and prepares reports in support of airport planning, feasibility studies, and other aviation specific technical assignments for Milwaukee County Airports
Responsible for developing accurate performance reports and dashboards typically using Business Intelligence software such as Tableau
Coordinate and provide input on the overall operation of the Airport Noise Management Program. Conduct noise system and Aircraft Ground Run-up Enclosure (GRE) inspections
Support the airport self-report process including development and publishing of airport statistical reports
Possession of valid Wisconsin Driver’s license at time of application and maintain during incumbency.
Ability to obtain and maintain throughout incumbency a Class II Airport Driver’s License.
Bachelor’s Degree in planning, aviation management or closely related field.
Three (3) years of experience in advanced analytical reporting is required.
Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets is required.
Airport planning, data science or regulatory reporting experience of 1 -2 years is preferred.
Basic knowledge in Business Intelligence Software such as Tableau is preferred.
Knowledge of commercial aircraft operation and airport noise management preferred.
Experience with Geographic Information Systems is preferred.

Read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, scientific/technical journals and procedures, government regulations, financial and legal documents.
Prepare and/or present written communications that pertain to controversial and complex topics.
Special Instructions: This Original Examination is open to current residents of the United States. Appointee must establish residency in the State of Wisconsin within six months of start date and maintain during employment. The selection process will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral, or performance tests, or other assessment methods.
