The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority is seeking an individual with professional experience in airport or commercial property management to join our dynamic Airport Economic Development team as the Property Specialist II – General Aviation (GA). The Property Specialist II – GA reports to, and provides highly-responsible, professional-level staff assistance to, the Senior Manager of Properties. The Property Specialist II – GA is responsible for optimizing the net profitability of the GA programs through the development of tenant relations, management of facilities, and the negotiation and administration of agreements. The GA program includes commercial and non-commercial tenants, Box and T-Hangar facilities, agreements with Fixed Base Operators, and providers of maintenance, repair and overhaul services. The position requires the ability to organize and direct complex programs, develop tactical plans and achieve goals, identify and implement innovative and efficient solutions, and foster effective working relationships; excellent business communication skills; and sound judgment and discretion.
Minimum Qualifications: Required Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Airport Management, or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of directly related education and airport property and/or operations or commercial property management experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the Bachelor's Degree (e.g., one year of full-time experience will be considered equivalent to thirty (30) semester or (45) quarter units of college course work).
Required Experience: Three (3) years of full-time professional airport property and/or operations experience; or professional, commercial property management experience, which must include direct tenant relations.
Required Licensing: A valid driver's license is required at the time of application.
Additional Salary Information: Entry Salary: $64,525 - $81,302 annually, with opportunity for additional merit-based increases up to a range maximum of $98,078 annually. Initial salary placement will be based upon experience and qualifications. This is a salaried position and is exempt from overtime.
