The Airport (Colorado Springs Airport) serves as the first impression for hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, giving them a breathtaking view of Pikes Peak and a taste of Colorado hospitality. In addition, the Airport is a major catalyst in the growth and development of the Colorado Springs region and plays a significant role in bringing new business, conventions, and tourism to the area.
Airport Maintenance Manager: In this at-will management position, you will ensure the safe and efficient daily maintenance and upkeep of Airport-owned facilities, including the airfield and landside assets. You will also manage four functional maintenance divisions of the Airport, including Facilities, Field/Fleet, Attendants, and Procurement and Inventory.

Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
Design and implement preventative maintenance programs to increase the longevity of Airport-owned assets; create preventative maintenance schedules
Ensure continued efficiencies; review and evaluate maintenance operations and staffing
Create and/or review RFPs (requests for proposal) and technical specifications for outside services
Administer the annual budget for the individual maintenance divisions; assist in the annual budget cycle; and prepare budget documents and reports
Manage the Airport's Capital Improvement Program as it relates to facilities, fleet, and field assets
Design and implement policies and standard operating procedures for direct reporting divisions
Create asset end-of-life replacement programs to ensure the continued operation of Airport facilities
Participate in emergency exercises and events, including snow removal
Successful candidate will have:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in aviation management, public works, business administration, or a related field
Five years of full-time professional (exempt-level) experience in facilities maintenance, airfield maintenance, or a closely related field
Three years of full-time supervisory experience
Possess, or obtain within one year of hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Ideal candidates will also have:
Five years of full-time supervisory experience
May be required to be on call for emergency situations.
The selected candidate must pass (or have already passed) a fingerprint-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.
