Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Risk Management and Safety, the Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating and carrying out the safety program for the Airport Authority, with duties primarily related to non-airfield activities. This person will implement a program to certify all employees understand and follow safety requirements and conduct themselves in a secure manner through training, awareness, education and professional development for the organization.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Eight years of experience in Safety Programs with five years of full-time progressively more responsible management experience which includes oversight of a safety awareness program and handling safety and time sensitive information
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications (must be obtained during the probationary period)
A valid driver’s license and a safe, acceptable driving record are required
