1.Develop and manage the Authority-wide small business development program in accordance with Authority and other local, state and federal regulations and sound professional practices; plan and facilitate outreach programs to educate and recruit disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE’s).
2.Manage staff involved in monitoring compliance of contractors and concessionaires with contract provisions and Authority requirements; facilitate meetings with managers, staff and representatives of DBE’s to determine how to handle potential compliance problems and reconcile disputes.
3.Participate in the state-wide unified certification program; oversee the maintenance of departmental program files and databases; monitor program expenses, contracts and assigned consultants; represent the Authority in meetings with professional and community groups.
4.Provide day-to-day leadership to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment; monitor performance and provide coaching for employee improvement and development; recommends compensation to recognizes performance.
Experience & Education:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, human resources, psychology, or a closely related field;
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in planning, designing and implementing small business programs and/or contracting, at least two years of which involved supervisory and federal, state, local or special Authority contract compliance;
Or an equivalent combination or training and experience.
Depending on experience, hiring range is $85,178 - $112,860.
