The New River Valley Airport Commission is seeking a highly qualified, motivated individual for the position of Airport Manager, who will be responsible for management and oversight of safety and operations of the New River Valley Airport, KPSK, in Dublin, Virginia. The New River Valley Airport is a general aviation airport with a single 6,201 x 150’ runway. The manager will oversee FBO operations and all staff to include fueling, aircraft storage and on-demand air cargo operations. The Airport Manager is also responsible for management and oversight of all airport functions, capital improvement projects, maintenance, public relations, grounds and regulatory compliance and enforcement. The Airport Manager performs complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, directing and supervising the New River Valley Airport, including facilities, environmental compliance, budgeting, capital improvement planning, security, compliance and all function of a general aviation airport.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities that would typically be acquired through:
High school diploma, or equivalent education
Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business Management, or related field preferred
At least 5 years of experience in operations and management of an airport preferred
Significant experience that can be demonstrated in working with state and federal grant programs, especially associated with the Federal Aviation Administration
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driver history
