Incumbents in this position are responsible for directing and managing all design and construction projects at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Duties include: directing the long term strategic planning and capital improvement programs; coordinating the selection of all consultants, engineers, architects, and contractors engaged in the planning, designing, and construction stages of capital improvement projects, and establishing and maintaining contacts with representatives of federal, state, and local governments, legislative bodies, airlines, airport tenants, and the general public to discuss, interpret, and explain policies, programs and objectives. Persons not residing in the City of St. Louis must take up residence within 120 days of completing a six month probationary period if hired EOE
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, Inc.; plus five years of project management experience on large engineering and construction projects. Qualifying experience must include at least two years of experience supervising engineering and/or architectural design and construction staff. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Registration: Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri or registration in another state with eligibility for reciprocity in Missouri.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request.
Documentation of academic credentials, P.E. and driver’s license must be submitted upon request.

Additional Salary Information: A commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly is paid to City employees of St. Louis Lambert International Airport after taking residence in the City of St. Louis.
