The City of Livermore, Aviation Department Invites Applications For Airport Manager
The City of Livermore is seeking an Airport Manager for Livermore Municipal Airport (LVK). The Airport Manager is the division head responsible for overseeing and managing the Livermore Municipal Airport in the Public Works Department. In this position, you will assist in the development and implementation of objectives, priorities and goals of the division and be a key member of the department’s leadership team. The Airport Manager should have a broad understanding of effective airport operations and management, FAA and State regulations, formats, conditions of lease agreements and be familiar with aviation industry trends and safety requirements while possessing effective grant writing techniques and written and communication skills.
Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, aviation, or closely related field. Management level experience may substitute for the college degree on a year for year basis.
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the management and operation of airports with at least two (2) years in a supervisory position.
Certified Airport Executive (CAE) with the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE) or an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is highly desirable.
Any recent training such as academic courses and certification programs that are relevant to this job classification.
Additional Salary Information: The salary range for this position is $123,846- $154,808 and is accompanied by an attractive benefits package.
